In Europe, most households also use petrifaction fuels such as petroleum or liquefied natural gas (LNG) as their primary heating fuel, and gas boilers are also the heating/hot water option for many households. However, as gas costs continue to climb, low-carbon heating alternatives are emerging, including heat pumps.
Electricity without gas Unlike gas boilers, heat pumps don't use natural gas for fuel, they just need some electricity to drive, and they can draw heat from the air to warm your home. The comprehensive cost is low, and carbon dioxide is not released into the atmosphere during operation, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
High energy utilization
Most top-of-the-line gas boilers are typically 90-94% efficient, which means there is always some heat lost and dissipated from their flues. Heat pumps, on the other hand, are around 300-400% efficient, and for every kilowatt (kW) of electricity consumed, you'll get 3 to 4 times as much heat, much higher than gas boiler figures.
Low operating cost
As gas prices in Europe have risen sharply, both household gas and electricity prices have risen, but at a lower rate for the latter. The gap between natural gas and electricity prices is getting smaller and smaller, and the 300%-400% effective utilization rate of the heat pump has greatly reduced the comprehensive operating cost. Analysis shows that people can save up to 27% on their heating costs by using an efficient heat pump. It's also important to note that if you can power your heat pump using, for example, solar panel power, it will cost almost nothing to run.
Low environmental impact
As a low-carbon heating system, air source heat pumps do not emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every time a gas boiler burns. Heat pumps can achieve nearly zero-emission performance if the electricity that powers them comes from a green power generation system such as solar panels.
More functional applications
Heat pumps can meet many living needs such as heating, hot water, and air conditioning, while gas boilers can only be used for heating and domestic hot water.
Longer life
The average lifespan of gas boiler is 10 to 15 years. You can lengthen a boiler’s life by getting it professionally serviced every year. Similarly, heat pumps can go on heating a home for over 20 years, possibly even 30 if it’s been well looked after.
Business Cooperation
Under the current international situation, natural gas prices are unstable and fluctuating, and the "REpowerEU" and "Fit for 55" policies are being promoted. Considering the above factors, the EU heat pump market is booming amid severe supply shortages. We hope to develop the market together with friends who are keen on energy saving.
